A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STORY WEAVER

Sample Daily Schedule

One beautiful, unhurried homeschool day, block by block. This is how most TSW families build their days.

TIME

5 mins

BLOCK

Morning Work

The day opens with the morning work page: a short warm-up covering a memory question from recent lessons, a spelling word, and a quick phonics review. Your child knows what to expect. So do you.

TIME

5-10 mins

BLOCK

Read Aloud

You read the day's chapter aloud together. For children who are reading independently, this moves quickly. For children who are still building fluency, this is their daily reading practice — unhurried and supported.

TIME

10-15 mins

1 Chapter a Day

This is the core of the lesson. Your child works through the chapter activities: writing, grammar, geography, science, or critical thinking tasks depending on the day. Everything is on the page. You follow the book.

Deep Dive

Three days a week, you'll find a science experiment, an art project, a geography investigation, or a music activity to dig into a little deeper. The Deep Dives are built to let families follow their passions.

WHERE WILL YOUR ADVENTURE TAKE YOU?

LEVEL 1

Level 1 Book 1

Book 1 explores mysteries, ocean life, inventions inspired by nature, and how people solve problems through observation, questioning, and experimentation. As learners investigate maps, buoyancy, body language, and the science of the sea, they build foundational reading, writing, phonics, and critical thinking skills through connected, story-based learning. These are just a few samples from this book’s 191 pages.

FROM LEVEL 1 FAMILIES

What parents are saying about Level 1

"My daughter went from sounding out CVC words in September to reading Sophie Scott Goes South on her own by May. The phonics scope is unbelievably solid."

Hannah M.
Mom of 4 · Oregon

"The morning work pages are the secret weapon. My son asks to do them — actually asks. That alone is worth starting Level 1 for us."

Dana O.
Mom of 2 · Texas

"Level 1 reads like a love letter to first grade. The recipes from every continent gave us months of incredible memories."
