AGES 8-11 | GRADE 5
Level 5
Design thinking, communication formulas, & forming hypotheses
Children interview, classify, form, and test hypotheses, write opinion pieces and descriptive character studies, and read non-fiction with the same critical attention they bring to literature. Science covers rocks, minerals, plate tectonics, and crystal growing and so much more. The literature reaches Everest and the southern ocean. By the end of Level 5, your child is a careful reader, a structured writer, and a genuinely independent thinker ready for what comes next.

INSIDE THE CURRICULUM
Eight units, one journey.
Level 5 unfolds across eight thematic units. Each unit takes families on a journey through a new country with new art, music, science, and historical themes. Take a peek inside each of the 8 books of Level 5 to get an idea of the adventures that await you and your little learner.
LEVEL 5

Level 5 Book 1
Book 1 explores Taiwan, cooking, chemistry, and cultural identity through stories, science, geography, music, and hands-on investigation. As learners study baking chemistry, measurement systems, maps, persuasive claims, and paragraph structure, they continue strengthening reading, writing, grammar, and critical thinking skills through connected, inquiry-driven learning. These are just a few samples from this book’s 250 pages.
